Mathieu Bayart is the managing director and founder of BAYA.
He obtained his first recognition in the international film industry with the feature films “Waiting for Dublin”, “the Box Collector” and “the Hessen Affair”. Alongside his experience in production, Mathieu also got to grips with international sales. He was actively involved in the preparation and the sale of three main film markets in Cannes, Berlin and Los Angeles. There he learned all about the ins and outs of the international film industry.
In September 2008 he founded BAYA.

The film industry gives Mathieu the right balance between marketing, economics and philosophy: three areas that captured his attention even as a student. He obtained a Bachelor degree in all three of them:
» Marketing (Hantal – Kortrijk, 2000)
» Commercial Sciences (Vlekho – Brussels, 2001)
» Philosophy (VUB – Brussels, 2003)
» In 2005 he also obtained his Master's in Philosophy (VUB – Brussels).

Besides being managing director of BAYA, Mathieu is a member of the Board of Directors of the international holding BASCO.
